Overview: The product of overexposure to experimental plasma/fission radiation, Megasoma desires one thing, destruction. He is immensely powerful and dangerous. His exoskeleton is near impenetrable, and he has a vast array of ranged weaponry.

Origin: There was a scientist in Mexico City that worked in a new experimental power plant. This scientist was in charge of radiation protection program. He studied the amount of radiation from the plant that was lethal. He experimented on insects. One insect he experimented more than others, the local giant beetle Megasoma elephas. On a routine day the scientist mishandled one of his Megasoma specimens and dropped it in an energy port that led to the reactor. The scientist did not panic, he figured the insect would never survive.
A week later the power plant began having issues. Out of nowhere there was a reactor breach. Chaos ran through the plant and everyone evacuated. The workers watched the plant implode and out from the dust cloud rose a giant. A super huge beetle! This beetle was no doubt the one the scientist dropped. The giant beetled was named Megasoma, and he was a force of destruction. Megasoma’s clear motive is to destroy everything and everyone in his path.
